About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 4 amazing kids! They are an 8 year old boy, a 6 year old girl, and twin boys that are 4. I have always loved watching kids and started when I was very young. It is the best sound to hear kids playing and having fun together. To some it might be noise but it makes my day 😃.

I’ve always imagined watching kids more regularly but it wasn’t until my daughters preschool was no longer available that others helped convince me that it would be great so I decided to actually give it a go.

Monday through Friday we try to keep a simple schedule. While the big kids are at school we have snack times twice a day and of course lunch, learning times, lots of play time and even some quiet time. I do drive the kids to and from school and have extra car seats that can accommodate infants-toddlers. On the weekend things are more about playtime and lots of it. If the weather isn’t cooperating we often have a movie and popcorn time to break things up.

For learning time we do a variety of activities. We do reading, flash cards, print outs from various materials and websites and other visual aids. We also utilize websites on the computer and iPad.

During playtime we make sure we are practicing playing nice with others with sharing and using nice words. We also practice putting toys away, and listening.

When we are lucky enough to have our outside playtime we are fortunate to have a fenced in back yard. We do have a small above ground pool which is also fenced in with a lock so that the kids don’t get in. I also have tents that I put up to make sure we have some shady area to play in. *I do ask that you provide sunscreen for your child as you really know what works best for your child. We have a sandbox, swing set and lots of toys. I’m sorry but the kids often come home a little messy when we’ve played outside. But I usually take it as a sign that they’ve had tons of fun!

My kids do participate in many activities during the weeknights and on the weekends. If you need your child cared for during those times I would have no problem watching him or her as long as you are comfortable with them joining us for the planned activities. This could also mean an alternate pick up location which I would of course provide to you.

We are a smoke free home however we do have a dog, and a hamster. Our dog is a rescue that is 2 years old. I keep her away from the kids when they first arrive and when they are eating. Once she meets them she usually goes about her business.

I look forward to meeting you!
